「伊藤祐民とオッタマ僧正のとの出会い」講演会～ミャンマー留学生育成110年記念～

大正2年（1913）、オッタマ僧正との約束でマインゾセーエン、ソーセン、マソ、ラモン、チャントン、男子
四人、女子二人のビルマ(現ミャンマー)から日本に初の留学生を祐民は温かく迎え、彼らを教育しビルマに帰国
させました。

本年は110年の記念の年になります。祐民とビルマ独立の立役者オッタマ僧正の歴史を振り返り解説します。

講演会当日は、聴松閣の2階展示場でパネル展を開催しています。早めに来てご覧ください。建物見学の入館料は必要です。

「Lecture on the Meeting of Mr.Suketami Ito and Monk U Ottama」〜The 110th Anniversary of Myanmar Student Training〜

In 1913, Mr. Suketami Ito warmly welcomed the first exchange students from Burma(Myanmar) to Japan, four boys and two girls, as promised by Monk U Ottama, educated them and sent them back to Burma.This year marks the 110th anniversary of their return to Burma. The lecture will look back on the history and provide explanations on the story of Mr. Ito and Monk U Ottama, who played a leading role in Burma’s independence.
